Kihara Porcelain Brooch

Porcelain Brooch by Kihara and Scout Editions.

The Porcelain Brooches from Scout Editions are the perfect accessories to add a dash of colour and fun to your everyday outfit. The Scout Edition collaborated with Japanese porcelain artisans Kihara to produce these beautiful brooches in Arita, located in Saga Prefecture on the island of Kyushu where porcelain production first began in Japan in 1616.

Available in three beautiful designs:

Ramen: A popular Japanese dish which translates to ‘pulled noodles’. Traditionally made from wheat, the noodles are served in a meat or fish-based broth, flavoured with soy sauce or miso, with toppings such as sliced pork, nori, menma and scallions.

Noren: A traditional Japanese fabric room divider with one or more vertical slit cuts from the bottom to the top of the fabric, allowing for easier passage or viewing.

Watermelon: Inspired by the expensive square or cube watermelons grown in Japan that are purely ornamental.
