Jiro Swivel Stool by John Tree for Resident.
In 2023, John Tree introduced a new product to his celebrated Jiro range - the Jiro Swivel Stool. Following the same design principles and material palette as the original seat, the new design is available in both counter and bar heights and features a 360-degree swivel return mechanism.
When developing the Jiro range, Tree's main focus was to create a functional and essential chair, with every part contributing to providing optimal support. The chair has a dynamic backrest and a sculpted, ergonomic seat, which makes it comfortable to sit on for extended periods.
Tree chose plywood as the primary material for constructing the chair as it is natural and can be easily shaped during the technical process.
